Position Title: Senior Power Systems Consultant

Salary: $111,987 - $133,100 / Year

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week

Summary of Duties: Apply power systems planning principles to simulate and analyze power system steady state and dynamic behavior. Develop mathematical models for reliability assessment of electrical networks. Deliver on-site technical consulting/training services. Perform analysis of customers' business requirements and application objectives. Develop an application design for products to meet customers' needs and prepare reports for clients. Estimate timeframes, quality and quantity of resources required to successfully implement very complex projects. Develop project plans incorporating all project variables. Conduct periodic status checks with the customer and team to assess progress against plans. Provide training to clients as required. 10% national/international travel required.

Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in an acceptable alternate occupation. Employer will alternative accept a Master’s in Electrical Engineering, or a related field. The position also requires experience with the following: Advanced power system analysis tools; Transmission system planning or operations; Analyzing power flow, transient stability, or electromagnetic transients; PSS/E, PSS®SINCAL or PSLF; and discussing findings clearly via reports or presentations. Skills can be gained concurrently or as part of a graduate degree program. 10% national/international travel required.
