The Siemens Utility Systems & Solutions Project Management Office (UTL PMO) is looking for a Factory Liaison to join our US team in Electrification and Automation (EA). The Utility Systems & Solutions segment of Electrification and Automation (EA) offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for the Utility and Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) markets. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future. The product portfolio includes but is not limited to medium voltage switchgear (AIS & GIS), Outdoor Circuit Breakers, MV Control, Power Equipment Centers, Overhead distribution products, low voltage motor control centers, photovoltaic (PV) Inverters, and ancillary MV and LV products that are routinely part of complete electrical packaged solutions in substations, power plants, and renewable energy power generation. Our comprehensive portfolio meets the growing technical requirements of todays and tomorrow’s power grid!

This role serves as a liaison between Queretaro and EA US. As such, all activities listed below will be closely coordinated between the QRO Order Management team and the EA United States Project Management team. In comparison to other customers, Utility customers usually have additional requirements for testing and documentation including test reports and pictures proving readiness/completion prior to and after factory witness up to shipment. This role will be focused on proactively planning and executing actions to meet these requirements per target dates set by project managers in EA US. The responsibilities may include below and more:

• Coordination of project schedules, deliveries, and product readiness

• Responsible for ensuring Final Acceptance Testing (FAT) readiness prior to customer and providing proof of readiness including test reports and pictures in week prior to FAT as needed by customer

• Recommend changes if any to the FAT plan by evaluating readiness of equipment for FAT in the final weeks prior to FAT start based on unique customer requirements.

• Participate in Pre-FAT and FAT planning to align US PM and FabQ OM, quality and liaison engineering team on customer requirements for FAT and finalize FAT plan for each day of customer visit

• Responsible for driving FAT manager to prioritize and expedite closure of Pre-FAT or FAT punch list for customer acceptance

• Plan and execute a seamless customer witness test to provide our customers with a smooth experience across the full duration of FAT in the factory

• Manage customer expectations for any last minute changes to readiness or errors during FAT and escalate to ensure timely support to meet customer needs

• Plan meals and entertainment for customers and accompany them to lunch, dinner and other hospitality events during their stay in QRO for FAT

• Process functional project management tasks including, but not limited to: Electronic Material Lists, test documentation completion, SieOps date management, documentation submittals, post shipment warranty support for both Siemens and 3rd party vendors.

• Responsible for ensuring with QM the execution and solution of the NCR of customers

• Support in closing out ship short material cases

• Work with factory OM and MM team to deliver documentation in support of customer specifications. (e.g. CT test reports)

• Work with remote teams to review the order status and manage changes through SieOps.

You will make impact if you have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college

• 3-5 years of experience working with-in the factory

• Proficient in English and Spanish

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with US customers in an order management or another customer facing role

• Previous experience hosting customer events in and outside factory with US customers

• Organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at the same time

• Demonstrated leadership skills and a proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams, including program management, services, engineering, operations, and logistics

• Commitment to develop, drive, and manage projects in a highly competitive market

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to present complex issues to multi-level audiences and effectively communicate progress, status and issues to internal and external Customers

• Ability to interpret and report results to senior management as well as customer
