Position Overview:

As a Group Lead Manufacturing Technician, you will provide the coordination for daily duties, work assignments to all team members, closely monitor the manufacturing progress, and provide support of assigned employees.

What your day will look like:

  • Defining key production work steps, sequences, and durations and setting up work scope per station or per cell basis.

  • Preparing Standardized work instructions

  • Coordinating work schedules with operational goals

  • Implementing manufacturing improvements, complex process changes, and technology changes

  • Providing critical process control guidance to production, maintenance, and quality control to improve the dimensional accuracy and overall quality of our products.

  • Ensuring all safety measure are followed.

  • Escalate issues to manager or appropriate support group.

What will make you successful:

  • Minimum of 2 Years’ experience in a Manufacturing Environment.

  • Demonstrated Mechanical and or Electrical aptitude.

  • Proven ability to train and mentor team members.

  • Experience in successfully leading a diverse team in a production environment.

  • Track record of actively engaging in problem-solving and implementing effective countermeasures within assigned area of responsibility.

  • High School Graduate/GED

We would be impressed if you had:

  • 3 + years of experience planning and supporting launch of new production lines in a low-speed production environment (e.g. rail, aviation/aerospace, naval, heavy equipment, etc.).

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Work experience in the rail business, preferably in light rail, heavy rail, or related production, is needed.

  • Knowledge of SAP or similar MRP / ERP systems is highly desired.

  • Practical experience in Customer Service / Maintenance / After Market businesses and technologies within the rail industry.

The hourly range for this position is $22.29- $29.92. This is a 2 nd shift position, which includes an additional 10% shift differential to the hourly rate. The hourly rate may be higher or lower depending on your experience and skills.
