Siemens Mobility Inc., Rolling Stock Division produces light rail vehicles, electric and diesel locomotives, and passenger coaches. Planner / Supplier Order Management Specialist is a key member of the Order Management team and manages the critical and complex suppliers to ensure on time delivery of open purchase orders to support production demand.
Ensurecontinuous supply of required materials and communicate any supply problemswhich may pose a risk or impact on business operations
Analyzepurchase requisitions and review for accuracy and completion
CreatePurchase Orders in SAP
Escalatethe approval process for urgent order placement
ReviewQuality Notification reports daily
Contactsuppliers to resolve Non-Conformances, price, delivery or invoice issues
Communicatewith various departments to resolve Non-conformances
Leadpurchasing activities with manufacturing, planning, sourcing and engineeringdepartments to solve complicated material supply issues
Ensurecompliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures.
Interpretinternal / external business challenges and recommend best practices to improveproducts, processes or services
RequiredKnowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Associatedegree in a related discipline – business, manufacturing, or engineering degreeis preferred
ProficientMS Excel skills. Well versed other MS Office products (Word, PP & Outlook).
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Minimum 2years of experience in procurement / SCM in a manufacturing environment
Strongtechnical knowledge and understanding of procurement, inventory control, andprocess control.
Results-orientatedwith the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
Tenaciousand assertive driver who escalates in supplier organization as well asinternally
Abilityto understand, evaluate & monitor supplier capacity
Analytical,numerically astute with proven problem solving abilities
Strongwritten & oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Highlyskilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships withkey stakeholders and suppliers
Abilityto lead others to solve complex problems and use sophisticated analyticalthinking to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions
Keenattention to detail and accuracy
ISO9000 experience. TS16949 and AS9100 a plus
