Siemens Spartanburg is looking for a Technical Trainer for Fabrication , with 750+ employees that produce high-quality, make-to-order power distribution equipment. Our processes include material handling, metal and bar fabrication, assembly, and test. The Technical Trainer for Fabrication will impact the Fabrication areas for Machine Operators. The position's focus is on developing, deploying, and measuring technical training programs. The ideal candidate has experience in CNC machines & controls, Turrets, brake presses, lathes, mills, and laser cutting operations.

As a Technical Trainer, your other responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities

  • Developing training materials and programs for machine operation and maintenance.

  • Conducting training sessions for machine operators on safety procedures, equipment operation, and troubleshooting.

  • Evaluating trainees' performance and providing feedback for improvement.

  • Updating training materials to reflect changes in technology or processes.

  • Collaborating with engineering, production, and Training teams to ensure training aligns with operational needs.

  • Maintaining records of training activities and trainee progress.

  • Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in machine operation and training methodologies.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 plus years of CNC machine operation or training others to operate CNC machines.

  • Extensive knowledge in CNC controls and machines. Turrets, brake presses, lathes, mills, and laser cutting operations.

  • Ability to read blueprints 2d/3d and apply shop math, digital literacy, and use of mechanical/measuring tools.

  • Experience with metal & bar fabrication machinery & processes in a manufacturing environment.

  • Capable of passing knowledge, skills development, and validation by demonstrating.

  • Knowledge of DMM

  • Demonstrated performing at high levels of efficient with minimal supervision.
