Job Description:

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, manages multiple projects from pre-booking to customer acceptance. Directs and motivates the project team during planning, estimating, design, installation, start-up, commissioning, turnover and warranty of assigned projects. Ensures customer satisfaction during and at final project completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in pre-bid reviewsand sales to operations turnover meetings to evaluate accuracy of thesales estimate and job layout. Analyzes plans, construction contractspecifications and codes to determine project requirements. Follows upwith appropriate management to assure understanding and satisfaction ofjob scope.

  • Manages the development ofproject plans in advance of project activity assuring effective executionby the Project Team. Monitors progress to assure compliance with thepre-determined execution plan.

  • Prepares or overseespreparation of engineering re-estimate reports.

  • Utilizes financial and monthlyforecasting to manage and contain costs. Utilizes financial and monthlyforecasting tools and works with other team members to monitor, manage andcontrol costs.

  • Prepares or overseespreparation of progress billings, pursues timely payments from thecustomer and authorizes payments to material suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Obtains bids and selects reliablesubcontractors to provide wiring, device installation, specialconstruction or other services.

  • Pursues, Estimates, andProcesses Change Order Opportunities

  • Creates, reviews, and ensurescompliance with Project Schedules

  • Manages the completion of allclose-out documentation such as As-Built drawings and system operatinginstructions; transfers or excess materials; billings, collections andpayments; and all project records.

Required Knowledge,Skills, Abilities, and Education:

  • Strong knowledge of industryfundamentals and business operations

  • An understanding of jobfinancial reports and the ability to apply these in managing assignedprojects

  • Strong leadership, listening,verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to provideleadership and input to others as requested or required to assist in theaccurate estimation, design, installation, start-up, commissioning, andtraining for building systems.

  • Proficiency with MicrosoftOffice, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Must have a valid driver’slicense in good standing and be 21 years old to participate in the requiredSiemens Vehicle Program.

  • Must be eligible to work in theU.S. without needing current or future sponsorship.

  • Must have 5+ years experience leadingconstruction projects.

PreferredKnowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Previous ProjectManagement Experience – Preferably in Construction

  • PMP Certification

  • ExperienceSupervising, directing, and motivating professional teams.

  • Mechanical or HVACBackground/Experience

  • HVAC Controls Experience
