Siemens is seeking a Senior Communications Lead- Strategic Initiatives .

This is a hybrid role that can be located out of the Atlanta GA area OR the Chicago IL area.

This Senior Communications Lead role is responsible for developing and executing communications plans for the strategic initiatives and programs that support continued evolution and strategic advancement of the Smart Infrastructure business in the United States. This position will handle various programs of different shapes and sizes from M&A workstreams and organizational change, to program rollouts and commercialization activities. Therefore, it is imperative that this individual is agile in their approach, a quick learner, and can juggle numerous priorities under time pressures all at once. A self-starter, this individual contributor will need to work effectively across functions both at the global and US-level to accomplish the task at hand, and they must be comfortable presenting to executive management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work on a rotating capacity as the communications workstream lead to support the activation of short- and mid-term initiatives and programs, including M&A, organizational changes, thought leadership (e.g. digitalization, sustainability, energy security) strategic programs and initiatives, etc.

  • Develop and execute measurable, strategic communications plans (internal and external), responsible for:

  • Quickly developing a deep subject matter expertise

  • Crafting messaging to various stakeholders internally and externally

  • Applying change management practices

  • Creating a project plan for execution

  • Executing against plan through existing channels

  • Establishing new channels of communications when necessary

  • Tracking and measuring

  • Create standard measurement and report outs to share with business leaders and executive management; monitor metrics and continually identify ways to improve future outcomes.

You’ll win us over by having the following required qualifications:

  • BA in communications/marketing, journalism, digital marketing, marketing analytics or data science or similar subject areas.

  • 12-15 years of experience in the following:

  • Optimally planning, directing, and implementing communications programs to internal and external partners

  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced environments, leading teams without authority and working under tight deadlines.

  • Being a self-starter, but a collaborative partner. Highly organized, driven, curious and EXCITED!

  • Confirmed communications skills with a demonstrated ability to research, analyze, plan, and implement in the areas of message development, strategic planning, demand generation campaign development and execution, employee communications, meetings management, and communications effectiveness measurement

  • Social media tools and digital marketing and communications platforms

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and networking skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong teaming skills including cross-cultural abilities

  • Dealing effectively with people at all levels of the organization

  • Working under time constraints and adapt to change

  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills

  • Organizational skills and project management experience

  • Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups

  • Adjusting to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities

  • Strong proficiency in Office 365 and other digital communications vehicles

  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 10%

  • Authorization to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.

  • The pay range for this position is $94,600 - $162,300 plus incentive. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
