Position Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on Software Architect as part of our eMobility organization at our Peachtree Corners, GA location. We are focused on producing high quality, reliable, electric vehicle chargers (EVSEs) for both residential and commercial customers. Your role shall be to drive and guide the specification and implementation of the software architecture for our next generation of AC and DC EVSEs and lead improvements in the quality of existing products.

As a Software Architect for eMobility you will:

  • Design and develop of software architecture for new and existing products

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and agile development teams, to gather requirements, create technical specifications, and specify technical solutions for new requirements and product features

  • Mentor and guide team members in software design and development best practices

  • Look for solutions to problems in existing the code base using advanced refactoring techniques

  • Bring maturity, vision, depth of domain and technical expertise and the ability to identify, analyze and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

  • Ensure that software code meets quality standards, including performance, security, and reliability

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and new technologies, continuously improving software design and development processes

  • Involve relevant stake holders (Project manager, Product manager, Test manager etc.) in decision making process.

  • Identify potential cyber security vulnerabilities and specify how to fill the gaps.

  • Be fluent in design patterns and common design principles

You will make impact if you have the following qualifications:

Required Experience:

  • MSc or BSc in Computer Science or related field

  • 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Deep theoretical knowledge and extensive practical experience in systematic software engineering and software architecture

  • Experience in evaluating and improving the performance, scalability, reliability, and robustness of software systems

  • Sound knowledge of software engineering process.

  • Sound knowledge of Requirements engineering.

  • Experience in software estimations, scheduling and tracking.

  • Practical experience working in and establishing agile development processes (Scrum, SAFe, …)

  • Strong, hands-on coding experience for both compiled (e.g., C++, C) as well as scripting languages (e.g. Python)

Desired Experience:

  • Experience with architecture and development of embedded SW solutions

  • Experience with embedded Linux

  • Experience building and maintaining DevOps pipelines

  • Experience with Cyber Security assessment and compliance

  • Excellent communication skills and technical leadership.

  • The pay range for this position is $117,000 - $200,700. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
