We are looking for a Manufacturing Test Engineer, Production Project Lead and this position will be located in Parsippany, NJ.

Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Test Engineer’s basic function is the development and maintenance of functional test equipment used in the manufacturing of the company’s products and that the test equipment ensures those products are designed and build according to functional and quality specifications. The Manufacturing Test Engineer is a key member and contributor of the NPI development teams insuring the testability and manufacturability of new products and the availability of the FCT according to the project’s net plan.

You will make an impact by:

Reviewing engineering designs and documentation (electronic and electro-mechanical test specifications, schematics, BOMs, board layout) for completeness, clarity, manufacturability, and testability

Defining test strategies, analyze new product testability, and delivers test solutions to manufacturing.

Managing the design, development, construction, validation, and commissioning of electro-mechanical test fixtures for production line testing.

Developing of test apparatus and methods to ensure that product functionality meets design and quality specifications. Defines what test processes are required based on the product definition.

Supporting the introduction of new products into manufacturing. Establish test processes and procedures, create test documentation.

Using test instruments to test functional performance of parts, subassemblies, and modules.

Complying and analyzing production test data.

Support manufacturing and quality assurance with root cause analysis on test and quality issues.

Provide first line technical support to manufacturing with focus on test equipment and related software.

Maintain production test fixtures.

You will win us over by having the following qualifications:

  • BS/BA in related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Familiar with database technology (JSON, etc.) and scripting languages (Visual Basic, Python, LabVIEW)

  • 3-5 years of technical knowledge in electronic product testing, manufacturing processes and techniques related to electronics and electro-mechanical assembly.

  • Understanding of Functional Test manual and automated test strategies

  • Experience in testing and debugging PCBAs to the component level, sub-assemblies, and full system integration.

  • Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States. Qualified Applicants will not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.

  • 5% combined travel (domestic & international) is required of this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP is preferred but not essential.

  • Effective communication skills. Ability to present clear and concise information and to tailor information to the needs of the audience.

  • Ability to comprehend both written and spoken English language for the purpose of understanding training/direction, generate and interpret documentation and to optimally communicate with domestic and international business associates.

  • Ability to function and contribute to a team environment.

  • Demonstrate strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment with minimal supervision.

  • Work well in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.

  • Excellent time management skills and dedication to meet deadlines.

The pay range for this position is $81,130-139,080 TMR high and the annual incentive target that will be based on the position level. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
