People & Organization Business Partner

We are actively seeking an experienced and driven P&O Business Partner to join our dynamic management team. As we continue to experience rapid growth and development, we are looking for someone who thrives on driving improvement and embracing change. Your invaluable expertise will play a pivotal role in shaping our organization's understanding of the external landscape and its impact on our business and people strategy.

With a focus on driving discussions related to workforce and organization design changes, as well as cultural transformation, you will collaborate closely with colleagues throughout the entire organization.

This role will suit individuals with a strategic mindset and a strong business acumen, as well as a deep understanding of the interdependencies within HR processes. With the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, you remain calm and focused to ensure your tasks are completed effectively.

Key responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for the SMO Business in Norway; understand business and its strategies, be an active part of the decision making process across all facets of the organization

  • Partner successfully with global P&O teams (talent and learning, compensation, talent acquisition, etc.) to drive timely, creative, and effective consultation and solutions with the business

  • Management of all country P&O activities;

  • Responsible for implementation of P&O policies and guidelines as well as changes and updates and apply these to local regulations

  • Lead or contribute to the implementation of global P&O initiatives on local level

  • Identify and validate talents and deploy talent development programs to guarantee sustainable talent pipeline meeting current and future business demands

  • Manage data and documentation handling at a local level as required

  • Coach and enable executives to be more effective leaders

  • Handle labor law cases and ensure compliance with labor laws

  • Nurturing relations with the employee organizations, and conducting negotiations

  • Responsible for relations to local organizations and authorities

  • Reports In-Country to CEO of Siemens Mobility Norway and functionally to the Head of SMO P&O NEE.

We believe you bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Organizational Development is a plus

  • 10 years of human resources experience / 7 years experience with a Master's degree in operational as well as strategic assignments, demonstrating a working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines including business partnering, strategy, compensation & benefits, talent acquisition and management, performance management, and management consultation

  • Experience in working in an international environment or for international organizations is a plus, as is working in virtual teams

  • The ability to be flexible, self-directed, motivated and able to interact with employees at all levels

  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills

  • Experience of dealing with colleagues from a variety of cultural backgrounds

  • Ability to successfully drive change in the organization

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Solid knowledge in Norwegian labor law and legislation related to HR practice

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, fluency in Norwegian and English language
