Motion Control Business Unit Asia Pacific Headquarter (abbreviated as MC AP) is the headquarter of the Motion Control Business Unit (DI MC) of Siemens Digital Industries in Nanjing. We take the lead in developing new products and promoting them to emerging regions such as China and other Asian countries and regions, including South Korea, India, Japan, Southeast Asia, etc., to enhance Siemens' position in the motion control market. We are a dynamic and self-motivated team, growing rapidly as a learning organization to adapt to the ever-increasing and challenging global business.

We are now looking for a R&D Project Leader to join our project management office to develop and deliver of the industry converter and servo. The focus of the role will be on enabling the effective project management and support on the successful delivery of projects on time and under budget.

What are my responsibilities?

  1. Full responsible for carrying out all the project activities e.g. planning, implementing, and supervising campaigns,

a. Initiate the project from business verification, define the Scope, Time, Cost and Quality target of project.

b. Plan the schedule, investment, budget, headcount, capacity, org. chart (needed resource plan), working package, define the project information communication.

c. Drive the product to fulfill the product cost target via project cost, material cost and production cost, incl. investment and tooling cost.

d. Drive the quality target through the DFMEA, DFM&DFT from design to production.

e. Support the product delivery, customer request and complain, material stability.

f. Manage the risks of project during the whole life cycle of product, identification, tracking and elimination.

g. Document the feature lists which are derived from requirement for future traceability and to enable easy verification of completeness.

h. Team member growth during project development.

  1. Responsible for execution, delivery and reporting in line with the Siemens PLM processes.

  2. Enlarging the achievements from projects, e.g., Patent, experience, and lessons.

  3. Driving Siemens culture to the project team and be a model of standing for Siemens value.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

1) Professional experience in project management(>5years), better within a diverse organization.

2) Bachelor degree or above, Major in Automation or Electronic Engineering or Electromechanical is preferred.

3) Knowledge of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), Lean and Agile, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and SCM (Supply Chain Management) knowledge is helpful.

4) Work independently and have profound planning and multitasking skills as well as reliability, has own initiative in a lively environment.

5) Self-motivated, with an interest and ability to learn our technical products and a high degree of attention to detail.

6) Proficient oral English, strong communication and influencing skills.

7) Automation industrial experience and German language are advantages.
