Siemens Financial Services Commercial Finance (COF) is looking to expand into Mexico. The new opportunity will commence in a Mexico based SOFOM named Siemens Servicios Comerciales (SSC). As this is a start-up business for COF, we are looking for team members who foster a strong growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.

The SOFOM is an unregulated entity, however, there are multiple components of regulation as it relates to AML KYC and tax reporting. These requirements are managed as part of the CONDUSEF regulatory structure.

This role will report to the Head of Finance, COF Americas and will support the local process teams and liaise with COF Americas Business Controlling team. The right candidate for this role will focus on ensuring compliance to all internal and external regulatory requirements for the purposes of financial accounting, tax and reporting.

What will you do?

• Development, implementation and maintenance of financial controls and guidelines in accordance with regulatory and compliance guidelines.

• Create process whereby this role is liaison between sales, operations, finance, accounting, local tax and other teams to ensure accurate and compliant structuring and pricing of transactions.

• Manage and oversee the VAT and CFDI reporting processes in conjunction with Ops, Tax, AC and compliance.

• Act as liaison for the organization with Mexico regional company as needed

• Creation of documentation to collect process, procedures and guidelines necessary to accurately process transactions by various types, e.g. leases vs loans

• Work closely with COF BC team to support monthly reporting and analysis, providing inputs as needed for forecast and budget planning.

• Work with central teams to identify and prepare any reporting that is necessary for the business and processes.

• As the business and processes mature, maintain documentation of procedures and look for methods to optimize where practical and cost effective.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Native Spanish speaking with fluency in English

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 3+ years’ experience leasing and/or lending experience

  • Understanding of the CONDUSEF regulatory framework including CFDI requirements.

  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written and comfortable at navigating a complex matrix of stakeholders.

  • Experience in partnering with IT to drive projects and automation improvements.

  • Leads with a Growth Mindset and has strong problem solving skills.

  • Collaboration skills, both cross-border and cross-function.

  • Lean Six Sigma experienced preferred.
