Siemens Real Estate (SRE) is responsible for the professional management of Siemens’ real estate portfolio worldwide. SRE manages the real estate portfolio, operates the properties, and is responsible for building projects and the purchase and sales of real estate. SRE thus ensures that the use of resources is optimized and sustainable in terms of costs, transparency, and efficiency. This includes the acquisition, setup of new commercial/industrial real-estate, renovations, disposition of locations and servicing customers with a broad set of service offerings.

For our Siemens Site in Madrid, Spain we are searching with immediate effect or by arrangement a technical project manager to lead the construction project in Madrid and the region of Spain. One of our current main topics is the new construction project in Madrid.

What are my Tasks?

  • Perception of the technical owner function during planning and execution of construction projects.

  • Securing timeline, cost, and project continuity in all stages of a project, incl. counteractive measure in case of irregularity.

  • Manage external and internal project participants such as construction company, architects and other planning partners, project controller and consultant.

  • Preparation of project design brief and interface list for tenant specific requirements.

  • Implementation of innovative and sustainable solution during early project phase.

  • Controlling of customer and tenant specific requirements.

  • Close work together with authority and other external partners until the final takeover of the building.

  • Preparation and execution of decision-making bodies, management presentations, external communication.

  • Obtain and observe all project relevant decisions and Siemens internal approvals.

  • Securing all security measures on construction site within the scope of the Siemens “Zero Harm Culture”.

What skills and experience will you bring to the role?

  • Successfully completed university education with specialization in construction engineering or architecture.

  • More than ten years of professional experience in project management as well as in the planning and organization of large office/R&D construction projects (> €60 million)

  • Very experienced in leading external teams/ stakeholders such as architect, designers, construction companies, consultants.

  • Very experienced (>8 years) in implementing specific design criteria (landlord/tenant/authorities) during the design and construction phase

  • Very good skills and keen interest on sustainability and innovative solution for construction projects.

  • Strong management and decision-making skills. Ability to summarize complex topics in a simplified manner for management presentation, decision proposals.

  • Service oriented and very good skills in customer management.

  • Approved project experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM).

  • Knowledge of local standards as well as regulations for the prevention of industrial accidents in Spain.

  • High proactivity, positive appearance as well as entrepreneurial behavior with pronounced communication skills and cost orientation.

  • Great command in Spain and English. You are fluent in both.

  • Willingness to travel.
