The EHS Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and developing, implementing and administering all environmental, health and safety programs. This position supports the Clinical Solutions manufacturing operations and reports directly to the Senior EHS Manager.
Maintainsite-related EHS permits, licenses and registrations
Prepare and submit all environmental,health and safety regulatory & company required reports
Investigateaccidents and incidents (including near misses, releases), determine rootcauses and implement corrective action plans
MaintainOSHA logs and associated documentation, manage worker’s compensationclaims and return-to-work program
Performevaluations of existing and new processes to ensure all EHS requirementsare being met and recommend improvements to eliminate, reduce or controlwaste, emissions and hazards
Conductindustrial hygiene (IH) surveys, job hazard analyses (JHA) and personalprotective equipment (PPE) assessments
Conductergonomic evaluations of office and manufacturing work environments
Workwith the facilities team to manage the Contractor Safety Program
· Conduct compliance and management systemassessments
DevelopEHS training courses for Siemens Molecular Imaging locations
Leadsite Emergency Response, Evacuation and EHS Teams
Maintainthe chemical inventory and SDS database
Maintain environmental regulatory compliance activities including,but not limited to hazardous waste handling and reporting, SARA 312 HazardousMaterial Reporting, SARA 313 Toxic Release Inventory Reporting
Providetechnical guidance to management regarding environmental, health and safetyrelated issues or concerns, and regulatory compliance
Serveas the EHS Product Related Environmental, Health and Safety Protection (PREP)Lead
Interface withEHS regulatory agencies
RequiredKnowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Bachelor’sdegree in Safety, Environmental Science,or related discipline
Minimumof 5 years experience in EHS Program Management
Working knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations andindustry EH&S standards
Strong knowledge in electrical safety and high voltageincluding OSHA and NFPA 70E compliance
Demonstrated ability to recognize, evaluate, and recommendcontrols for workplace hazards
Excellent interpersonal,communication and analytical skills
Strongwriting capabilities, especially with writing clear, concise EHSprocedures
Proficient in MS Office (Word,Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
Ability to manage multipleprojects/tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be able tointerface with all levels of the organization
Travelup to 25% when necessary
PreferredKnowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Certified SafetyProfessional (CSP) certification,Certified Hazardous Material Manager(CHMM) certification , orequivalent
Experienceworking with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Management Systems
Forklift train-the trainer certification
