What are my responsibilities?

• Verification of software quality in industrial applications in the area of digitalization

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable test cases

• Conducting functional and non-functional system tests, regression tests and bugfix validations

• Execution of manual and automated tests

• Recording and tracking defects using standard bug tracking tools

• Work as part of a development team who applies Scrum framework

• Conforming to Siemens processes, quality standards, and guidelines

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• BSc., MSc. or PhD. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or in a related area

• Proven 3+ years of hands-on experience in software development in test

• Excellent understanding of testing concepts in the software development lifecycle

• Having strong interpersonal communication skills

• Teammate with highly collaborative, self-motivated, customer focused, positive, and upbeat attitude

• Able to facilitate the collaboration between customers, internal stakeholders, global and local teams

• Able to understand and explain abstract concepts in a clear way to technical and non-technical audiences

• Eager to learn new technologies and solutions

Experience in areas below is a must

• Proven ability to work with developers to narrow down issues

• Scripting Languages (Python, Bash, etc.)

• Test frameworks (Selenium, Pytest, Pytest-BDD, etc.)

• Linux/Windows based infrastructure

• Testing web applications (both UI and API testing)

Experience in areas below is a plus

• Non-Functional Testing

• Cucumber, Gherkin language is a plus

• Test management systems (TestRail, etc.)

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, etc)

• Source code management (Git, TFS, etc)

• Containerization and virtualization technologies (Docker, VMWare, etc)

• Testing software applications for IoT Platforms

• Agile methodologies

• ISTQB Certification

What else do I need to know?

• No restriction for traveling

• Very good command of English is a must (German is a plus)
