This is a rolewell suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in theircareer. As a StaffUltrasound Systems Engineer ,you will be responsible for :

Lead major portions of innovation projects and productdevelopments; design, develop, and evaluate ultrasound imagingfeatures/technologies to assess clinical value and relevance; support/leadproduct development and release as needed. Key focus is on ultrasound systemsengineering, including ultrasound signal path design and implementation,imaging feature development, and image quality optimization and clinicalevaluation.


The Staff Ultrasound SystemsEngineer works with cross-functional product development team and providestechnical leadership in:

  • Researchand development in ultrasound signal path, including transmit and receivefrontend, beamforming, signal processing for B-mode, Color, spectral Doppler,and other advanced features.

  • Takingownership of image quality, from algorithm research and development, systemperformance verification, engineering and clinical image optimization, andcustomer support.

  • Leadingsystems-level product development, owning design specifications and verificationsthat complies with related medical device regulations/standards (FDA, IEC,etc.) and internal quality management and design control processes.

  • Drivinginnovation and continual improvement of imaging performance all the way fromconcept generation to prototyping and product implementation.

  • Mentoringand coaching junior team members; leveraging knowledge and experience toelevate the technical/clinical capabilities of the team; driving collaborationand team work in an Agile environment.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields; Ph.D.preferred.

  • Minimum4 years of working experience in medical imaging product development.

  • Expertisein ultrasound physics and system design, signal and image processing, algorithmspecification and development.

  • Demonstratedexperience using MATLAB/Python for fast prototyping; C/C++ programming skill isa plus.

  • Demonstratedtechnical abilities in coordinating development efforts of a highly technicalgroup

  • Excellentoral and written communication skills

  • Ableto adapt quickly to change and work in a rapidly-evolving environment

  • Willingto travel up to 10%
