Job Description:

TheFieldServiceTechnicianisafield-based,customer-facingrolethatprimarilyinstalls,services,maintainsandmodifiesSiemensimagingequipmentatcustomersites.OurFSTsrepresentthe"FaceofSiemens"tothecustomer.

TheFieldServiceTechnicianreportstotheRegionalServiceManageratSiemensMedicalSolutions.Responsibilities

OurFieldServiceTechnicianwillperformservice,preventativemaintenance,modificationsandinstallationson SiemensImagingequipmentatcustomersiteswithminimalsupervision.Primary Modality XP and another secondary Imaging Modality to be determined.

Establishandmaintainproperbusinessrelationshipswithcustomersandpeers,aswellasperformingnecessaryadministrativedutiesaccurately.

RequiredKnowledge/Skills,Education,andExperience

Minimumhighschooldiploma;experienceintesting,repairingandmaintainingcapitalmedicalequipment;strongelectronicsandcomputerbackgroundneeded;3+yearsoffieldserviceexperienceisneeded,aswellasstrongcustomerserviceandcommunicationskills;mustbeproficientintheuseoftoolsandservicetestequipment;validdriver'slicenseandgooddrivingrecordrequired;mustbeabletoworkbothindividuallyandinanestablishedteamsetting;mustbewillingtoworkdifferentshiftsasbusinessneedsdictate;abilitytotravelandprovideserviceinassignedgeography;willingnesstoparticipateinanon-callrotationaftertrainingandcertification.

PreferredKnowledge/Skills,Education,andExperienceTechnicalassociate’sdegreeorequivalentexperiencepreferred;previousexperiencewith XPequipmentstronglypreferred.

General Requirements: Job Family Responsibilities:

Leadsthemostcomplexequipmentinstallation,trialruns,investigativetests,repairsandoverhauls.Leadsthemostcomplexproductandservicetrainingtocustomers.Guidesthemostcomplexmaintenanceontools,testequipment,etc.,andcompletesdocumentsofallinstallations,inspections,maintenanceandrepairwork,andfailures.Leadsthemostcomplex serviceorsystems callsandinterfaceswithcustomerpersonneltoprovidequalityserviceandfeedbackonproblemevaluationandresolution.Guidesassessmentofthemostcomplexinstallationandservice ofproduct/equipmentperformancebasedonfieldsupportdataanddesignsmodificationsorimprovements.Mayleadthenegotiationandadministrationofserviceorsystemscontracts.

Key Responsibilities:

Performsthemostcomplexandtechnicallydemandingworkwithintechnicalorparaprofessionalarea.Preemptspotentialproblemsandprovideseffectivesolutionsinreactiontoapplicationofconcepts,techniques,knowledge,orprocesses.Independentlyseekssolutionscomplexandunusualproblemsbeforecontactingothers.

Education:

Associate'sdegreeor1-2yearsofvocationaltechnicaltrainingpreferred.HSdiplomaorequivalentrequired.Specializedskilltraining /certificationmayberequired.

Knowledge and Experience:

Successfullydemonstratesleading-edgeorextensiveknowledgeinatechnicalorspecialtyarea.Generally,5+yearsofsuccessfulexperienceinareaofresponsibilityandsuccessfuldemonstrationofKeyResponsibilitiesandKnowledgeaspresentedabove.

Direction of Others:

Mayprovideexpertadvice,training,andtechnicalassistancetosupportstaffandtrainlowerlevelemployees.
