Energy, Siemens Limited India is seeking a responsible, professional, and self-motivated individual to join the Gas Turbine R&D, Gurgaon as “Gas Turbine R&D: Manager – Combustion Module”. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, global product development & service environment.

In this role you organize, coordinate, and control all business activities for Gas Turbine product development in the Combustion technology domain as part of a global R&D environment with the objective of customer satisfaction, global competitiveness, and innovation in. You lead, develop, and motivate a group of dedicated qualified managers & employees to achieve and exceed challenging targets.

Identify and understand problems and opportunities by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative information. Choose the best course of action by establishing clear decision criteria, generating, and evaluating alternatives, and make timely decisions.

•Drive and support Gas turbine Combustion alternative fuel (Hydrogen etc.) technology development & validation within the global team set-up

•Establish an action plan for self, group manager and others to complete work efficiently and on time by setting priorities, establishing timelines, and leveraging resources.

•Set high goals for personal and group accomplishment that are aligned with global business priorities. Use measurement methods to monitor progress toward goals. Tenaciously work to meet or exceed goals while deriving satisfaction from that achievement and continuous improvement.

•Encourage others to implement better approaches to address problems and opportunities. Lead the implementation and acceptance of change within the workplace.

•Make decisions and initiate action to ensure that business unit policies and practices leverage the capabilities and insights of individuals with diverse backgrounds, cultures, styles, abilities, and motivation – creating an inclusive environment.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:

  • Ph.D., Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related branch, such as aeronautical, aerospace, civil or naval engineering.

  • •Thorough professional know-how in Engineering/R&D based on practical experience in turbomachinery design and development, coupled with a sound theoretical foundation.

  • •Minimum 5 years of experience with Gas Turbine components technology; domain knowledge & exposure to mechanical design, mechanical integrity, heat transfer, and aerodynamics competencies of Gas turbine components.

  • •Leadership and People management experience preferred.

  • •Experience in intercultural collaboration
