Siemens Mobility seeks a Materials Controller to join our Commissioning and Warranty team. This role is based at Cockfosters/Northfields, our customer site. As a Materials Controller, you’ll lead all aspects of stock levels at the depot, coordinate materials planning and forecasting with the Materials Manager, and ensure optimal stock availability for Commissioning and Warranty needs.

You’ll make an impact by

  • Ensuring materials of the required standards are available at the production facility to meet the requirement of the maintenance operation and orders/transports are in place to improve stock availability to meet customer demand.

  • Delivering the warranty returns administration process to ensure the timely return of Commissioning & Warranty failed products, including the coordination with the Warranty Manager for ongoing claim management and resolution.

  • Completing all required transactions on MRP/SAP. (Goods Receipt/Inventory Control/Purchase Requisitions/Orders/ Repair Loop/Stores Movements/Asset Swaps/Issuing& further) and ensure that the Asset Tree / Master data is clean.

  • Raising any transport requests between depots/ warehouse to fulfil any demands or balance stock.

  • Supporting Project with the Stores Setup, whilst being in line with customer’s procedures/regulations.

  • Regular contact with Suppliers/Warehouse and Vienna team for requesting repair reports and returns shipment tracking.

Your success will be grounded by

  • Demonstrated understanding of best practices in procurement, buying processes, and planning.

  • Experienced in stock control and inventory management.

  • Detailed knowledge of materials, stores management procedures, and warranty processes.

  • Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.

  • Strong organisational skills to manage work effectively.

  • Possession of a CIPS Professional diploma in Procurement and Supply or a relevant degree in Supply Chain Management (preferred).

  • Highly developed relationship-building skills.

  • Ambitious, self-reliant, and intrinsically self-motivated.

  • Proficiency in Excel and data interpretation.
