We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer. This position will be based in Fort Worth, TX.

Siemens Industry is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for our Fort Worth, Texas factory. Our emerging facility is an expansion of operations in the DFW area producing high-quality, make-to-order power distribution equipment for use throughout North America. Our processes include material handling, metal fabrication, final assembly, and test.

The manufacturing engineers are responsible for supporting process development, improvements, and validations during the production of our products to ensure quality, cost, and efficiency requirements are met. This position investigates problems, conducts root cause analysis, and takes corrective action. The manufacturing engineer is also responsible for the research, purchase, and implementation of new/upgraded equipment (to include the implementation of digitalization and digital processes).

You will make an impact by:

  • Assures specific quality guidelines are met and, if necessary, takes appropriate actions to correct problems

  • Manages and coordinates departmental improvements projects

  • Updates and develops standard operating procedures

  • Analyzes data to identify root causes of defects and implements appropriate countermeasures

  • Identifies processes and equipment implementations to improve quality and productivity

  • Reduces scrap and waste opportunities for increasing capacity

  • Creates, reports and documents processes, training, and equipment implementation

  • Manages improvement projects that may require capital expenditures, contractors, cost savings calculations, design development and physical installation work

  • Designs, procures, and validates fixtures, tools, and shop aides

  • Applies Lean manufacturing improvements, complex process changes, and technology changes including process development, training support production team on proper methods of assembly and propose improvements to build processes.

  • Coordinates and communicates technical information to all levels of the organization including vendors, project managers, production team members, and operations managers.

  • Monitors activities: KPIs, dashboards, progress reports, budgets, etc.;

  • Supports design, development, and specifications for factory and business unit improvements

  • As appropriate, serves as an Instructor/Trainer of technical skills and processes

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

  • Minimally 5 years’ experience working as a ME in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience simulating manufacturing systems and processes

  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis

  • Problem Solving/Analysis experience

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean manufacturing techniques; preferred Yellow or Green Belt

  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system

  • Understanding of Supply-Chain Management and/or Internal Logistics

  • Experience analyzing business processes and implementing or streamlining improvements

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD (or equivalent) technical drawing software

  • The pay range for this position is $72,380 - $124,080. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
