This is a role well suited to an ambitiousprofessional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Manager of our Usability & SolutionsDefinition Team within our Customer Solutions Definition and Validationorganization in Lab Diagnostics (LD) ,you will be responsible for :

  • Leading a team of UX & UIdesigners as part of a cross-functional development team to defineworkflows and software user interfaces for complex systems that will allowfor safe, efficient, intuitive, and satisfying user interactions.

  • Being the UX subject matter expertto provide guidance and technical expertise for all user experienceactivities including user research and testing, interactive design, andregulatory compliance for usability practices.

  • Partnering with Requirements andMarketing teams to define and design new product features that enhanceuser workflow.

  • Coaching your team to plan andconduct software and hardware usability studies, surveys, and interviewswith customers and customer representatives. Perform heuristicevaluations. Document and presentfindings from UX evaluations and recommendations to teams to drive productimprovements throughout development lifecycle.

  • Leading the Development of SoftwareFunctional Specifications that incorporate Usability concepts.

  • Leading and developing successful UIdesign teams with the ability to advocate for and institute good designand UX practices within R&D organizations.

  • Experience with UX research methodsthat lend themselves to an agile environment

  • Excellent communication andpresentation skills.

  • Proven ability to collaborateeffectively across disciplines and product lines.

  • Experience defining workflows,personas, and customer journeys.

  • Knowledge of medical deviceregulations pertaining to usability.

  • Willing to travel up to 20%(NY/NJ/DE), occasional US and international travel

Required skills to have for thesuccess of this role

  • Degree in human computerinteraction, human factors engineering, computer science, interactiondesign or similar.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating atleast 5-10 years of experience building successful user interfaces forinstrumentation.

  • Proficiency with design softwaresuch as Adobe Creative Suite and UX tools (Adobe XD, Axure, HTML, CSS).

  • Proven ability to set schedules,keep commitments, and manage internal and external resources.
