Your future role.

• In your new role, you will be responsible for complex virtualization architectures for industrial solutions in the sectors of mining, test applications and hydrogen.

• In the offer phase you will develop suitable virtualization architectures based on requirements of customers. The economic design of the IT process is an important aspect as well and is to be evaluated with the industry sales department jointly. The technical architecture consists of components from VMware and HyperV and, if necessary, other tools such as Nutanix AHV.

• In the implementation project, you order the contractually agreed solution components and monitor and support the installation, configuration and test.

• As part of the acquisition and commissioning process, you may be required to travel to customer sites worldwide.

• You will also be responsible for creating and compiling as-built documentation at the end of a customer projects. Additionally, the knowledge gained is to be fed back into sales and engineering as part of Lessons Learnd process.

• Lifecycle services for end customers with a service contract must be planned and implemented.

• You will also be responsible for the provision, maintenance and further development of a virtual engineering platform for worldwide internal use by regional IN SO units

• You will configure various web servers and keep them up to date with regard to cybersecurity

• You will also provide technical support to all stakeholders.

Your profile.

• The basis of your success is a Master's degree, preferably in computer science, and many years of experience in IT/OT as well as relevant certifications, or comparable training and knowledge.

• Building on this, you have gained extensive experience with modern server architectures, concepts and design principles.

• You have extensive experience with industrial networks and topologies (e.g. Ethernet, ProfiNet, VSAN) as well as virtualization technologies based on these, such as VMware and HyperV.

• Furthermore, you have experience in dealing with WSUS update servers, ESXi servers, vCenters, QNAP backup systems, Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Windows Server 2019), Linux, Active Directory / DNS (in VM) and additional software (e.g. PRTG, Trend Micro, EventSentry, Veem).

• An assertive personality with very good communication skills in an international environment characterizes you, as well as a strong IT/OT understanding combined with a "hands-on" mentality.

• A willingness to travel worldwide for assignments lasting several weeks on customer sites is a prerequisite.

• Very good knowledge of English rounds off your profile.
