Position to lead medium-sized, professional team of Application Engineers, Aftersales Engineers and Field Service Specialists (up to 20 employees) in the Industrial Power Transmission Industry. Group is responsible to support external sales team and customers by on-time responses to their requests for quotations, purchase orders, aftersales requirements or field service assistance. Requires a high level of collaboration within own internal sales support team and external sales team.
Sales Support of all Flender sales channels to meet order entry and sales business segment targets
Lead the professional team of application engineers, after sales engineers and field service specialists to meet customer expectations regarding handling of their request for quotations, purchase orders, after sales service support, on site field service assistance or training
Manage internal collaboration with the rest of Flender organization in USA and also globally to meet the set targets. It requires intensive coordination and collaboration regarding quotes, projects or service inquiries, implementation of local or global tools or processes for handling of such quotations, purchase orders or services. It also requires meeting quality and health & safety standards within company working environment or within external working environment at job sites.
Actively participates on high-level technical meetings with management, customers, professional external organizations (e.g. AGMA) or external shows or exhibitions.
Supports Flender global product development teams by technically sophisticated inputs from US regions to help them to develop state of the art products or services.
Continuously works on improvements of internal practices and processes to make sure that Flender organization is always one step ahead of any local or global competition.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
10 + years of direct design / application experience with gearboxes.
Previous managerial experience with documented success in leading technical teams.
Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of the commercial aspects of the business
Demonstrated experience improving existing processes and approaches.
A strong technical and product knowledge of the design and application of large gears and gear boxes for Industrial Power Transmission Industry
