Quality Manager designs, defines, documents, teaches, audits, measures and improves the software development processes for the Manufacturing Segment’s suite of software products.
The position reports to the Head of Development for the Business Segment and is responsible to assure that the defined software processes have been followed and have led to a quality software products. The position has the responsibility to delay delivery of all software products until this can be assured.
Develops quality software processes and systems, and tools to support them
Formulates solutions to issues, audit findings and process improvements to management.
Perform ISO 9001 audits, Siemens’ 9 Mandatory Elements audits, and CMMI assessments
Implements processes to support defined corporate Quality initiatives.
Mentors and trains all levels of personnel on processes.
Reviews state of the art technologies so that departmental processes use best practices.
Provides leadership in projects focused on improvement.
Trials and pioneers new approaches and methodologies.
Provides a high level of support/expertise in multiple disciplines.
Assumes a lead role on special projects
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
The ideal candidate would have a MS in Operations Management/Systems Management/Quality
Management and a BS/BE in Software and experience in both.
Engineering. Knowledge of, and experience in, the following is required:
Managing Software Development Processes for large companies
Hands-on Software Development
Scaled Agile Framework
Lean Software Development
ISO 9001 Auditing
Process Mapping/ Process Mining
