Cloud Service (CAS)
MindSphere Global Architecture Team
As an intern in Cloud Services for MindSphere (CAS-MS), you will dive into various aspects of software design in the cloud. You may work on critical projects in cloud based environments using modern tools, processes and concepts in an agile work environment. In this role you will be challenged to think in new directions, solve challenging problems and learn new things quickly. You will have the opportunity to partner with senior engineers and architects and push the limits on our project teams across two disciplines:
Optimizing existing systems for scalability and cost
Research, test and evaluate technology options and perform benchmark comparisons
Participate in build versus buy analysis
TCO analysis for comparison of technical solutions and architectures
Perform PoC to validate design proposals
Participate in Architecture meetings and discussions
Assist in documenting design concepts and contribute to the Architecture WIKI
Familiarity with design patterns and principles especially related to cloud or SaaS
Follow Agile Software Development methodology
Adhere to best practices in coding, documentation, test automation, and deployment
Contribute in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) environment
Assist with implementation as needed based on projects and sprint teams
Option to work side by side with development teams
Potential to be involved with an on-site scrum team
Work directly on a real-world deliverable
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, or a first year Master’s student, in Computer Science, or a related engineering field
Proficient in Documentation tools (PowerPoint, Visio, WIKI markup, UML)
Knowledge of AWS or Azure preferred
Be flexible, open minded, and self-directed
Resilient and adaptable to a fast paced environment
Learn fast and communicate effectively
Ability to problem solve, investigate various new solutions, and report out findings
