What we are looking for

We seek a dynamic, high-energy, results-oriented VP of Global Portfolio Marketing to establish and guide our worldwide product and solutions marketing team, encompassing product, industry, solutions marketing, go-to-market enablement, and analyst relations.

This highly visible, strategic and cross-functional leadership role will be responsible for the development of compelling, customer-centric value stories and the creation of competitive positioning and messaging across the portfolio. You will drive go-to-market strategy and execute, sales enablement materials, provide thought leadership to support the company’s brand building and demand efforts. You’ll work closely with the reputation and growth marketing teams as well as cross-functionally with sales, customer success, product management, and others in the company.

The ideal candidate is someone with the proven ability to: build, develop and lead global teams through the execution of data-driven product and solutions marketing programs; tell compelling stories that illuminate the outstanding value of a company and its portfolio of solutions; be customer-centric in order to communicate customer use case-relevant stories; launch into market new solution offerings; and continue to lay a portfolio marketing foundation while addressing the evolving needs and growth goals of the business.

What you will do

  • Build, develop and scale a global portfolio marketing team that's outstanding

  • Develop portfolio marketing critical metrics, track outcomes and hold teams accountable through transparent leadership

  • Drive overall product, solution, industry, and GTM marketing strategy that is data-driven, cross-functionally aligned with product and sales and passionate about business outcomes

  • Lead the go-to-market strategy, planning, and execution for Brightly's core products, top industries, and integrated solutions, while developing a consistent and scalable approach to enhance organizational efficiency.

  • Scale industry marketing thought leadership and solutions capabilities to create relevance with prospects and clients in the marketplace (specifically Education, Government, Manufacturing, and Healthcare).

  • Lead the ideation and implementation of strategic sales plays and enablement that will accelerate pipeline generation and sales effectiveness.

  • Partner with product management, sales and customer success leadership teams to analyze market opportunities and competitive landscape to influence short and long-term product strategy

  • Build and scale analyst relations function to better position Brightly with industry analyst and other influencers

  • Intimately understand the market and customer needs in order to build compelling and relevant messaging, stories, and value proposition

  • Strategize, plan, and implement new product and solution introduction programs, from tier 1 launches down to product feature announcements.

  • Influence brand and product architecture evolution

Requirements

What you need

  • 15+ years of leading product, solution, and industry marketing functions. Second line management experience highly desired.

  • Experience building out a global team

  • Demonstrated capability to guide, empower, expand, and preserve talent.

  • Ability to scale portfolio, solution (software and service), industry marketing across multiple geos

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with strong executive presence

  • SaaS, Enterprise Software knowledge required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing; MBA preferred

  • Travel 30% is required

  • Position can be located anywhere in the US with a strong preference for Raleigh, NC or the East Coast

The pay range for this position is $165,400 - $283,600 and the annual incentive target is 25% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
