We are looking for a Technical Project Manager in our global team who will be involved in projects with all factories of Electrification & Automation (EA) Business Unit around the globe. This role will be responsible for global commercial project support and coordination for localization of parts, components and modules for EA.

You’ll create impact by

  • Global technical project support and coordination for localization of parts, components, and modules

  • Supporting localization strategies and make or buy decisions under the consideration of technical and quality requirements

  • Analyzing manufacturing feasibility studies and manufacturing steps prepared by supplier

  • Creating and implementing project / process specific test plans to support the localization processes ensuring the right quality during the development and subsequently during the production phases

  • Supporting supplier management in technical view (selection, qualification, evaluation, auditing, development) to gain the best suppliers and guarantee optimum quality

  • Managing quality topics of the project including assisting the SQM Department in planning, organizing and engaging cross-functional teams to bring about the successful execution of the project objectives from a quality perspective

  • Analyzing and managing correction and improvement activities in case of technical problems. Follow standard methods such as root cause analysis

  • Bringing aspects of quality into the procurement and sourcing strategies to ensure long-term, cost-effective supply of materials and monitoring the local market to bring new suppliers into the purchasing portfolio

  • Conducting / coordinating inspection activities of samples at supplier’s premises and plants in accordance with standard processes and drive a consistent digital workflow of quality documentation

  • Leading and streamlining “technical change note” process and act as SPoC (single point of contact) for specific parts suppliers to implement technical changes

  • Aligning with Global Quality, Global Product Care & R&D teams or key experts the implementation of project specific validation plans for localization projects

  • Managing quality assurance contract activities with supplier to minimize risks, identify claim potential and appropriate methodology at contract award stage

  • Monitoring of standards, control plans and release process

  • Preparing and archiving release documents and quality reports

  • Defining test procedures for the materials and production in line with international standards

Your defining qualities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or similar discipline. Master’s degree is a bonus

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial manufacturing environment area is required

  • Good understanding of various manufacturing processes e.g. Fabrication, Welding Techniques / Process, Molding, Casting, etc.

  • Experience in Medium Voltage Switchgear business and in a quality department would be an added advantage

  • Good understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001: 2008/2015), EHS & HIRA processes is a benefit

  • Monitoring of performance against KPIs and implementing corrective actions where necessary and ensure that best practice is used across the team

  • Strong international team working and cross functional collaboration skills

  • Experience of processes mapping and optimization as well as moderation skills for workshops

  • High flexibility to travel (at least 50%) in the Region of Hungary and surrounded countries like Slovenia, Serbia, Romania, etc.

  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in Hungarian and English language
