We currently have an exciting and rare opportunity for an experienced Power Systems Consultant to join our Smart Infrastructure team. The purpose of the role is to provide deep technical knowledge in an assigned portfolio, and advise both the sales organisation and customers, in capabilities and options on how best to use and integrate Siemens products effectively.

Key responsibilities:

  • Undertake Power System studies relating to steady stage, transient, power quality and small signal power system performance on transmission and distribution networks including microgrids and/or hybrid grids

  • Produce high quality reports documentation study findings, results and recommendations

  • Constantly analyses product portfolio of the dedicated customers client overall goals and objectives.

  • Checks with Developers, Project Managers and Management on customer’s side options to integrate Siemens' products and gives strategic, commercial and organisational recommendations

  • Creates respective technical and commercial concepts and offerings in order to support the sales process

  • Plans and completes consulting assignments to industry partners on technical and commercial level

  • Prepares offers, including cost calculations and technical scope

  • Support the sales organisation in contract negotiations at all stages with information and analyses.

To be successful, you will have the following:

  • Technical expertise as well as a passion for Power System planning

  • Relevant experience in a similar technical business development role

  • Strong data management and analysis skills

  • PSS®E, PSS®SINCAL or similar experience

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • A strong business acumen combined with strategic thinking

  • Tertiary education in Electrical Engineering
