What are my responsibilities?

? Creates quality guidelines and work instructions relevant for maintaining regulatory compliance.

? Identifies, analyzes and implements country specific requirements necessary for product related submissions.

? Plans and prepares product related submissions with Siemens internal (e.g. Regional Units) or external organizations according to regulatory requirements.

? Performs regulatory projects or acts as a member of the project steering group.

? Submits required documentation/information to local authorities, foreign certifying agencies or Siemens internal.

? Initiates and escalates necessary activities if deviations are identified.

? Ensures creation of adequate documentation for audits/inspections.

? Performs training within the organization in country specific regulatory requirements, if applicable.

? Performs review of promotional material for regulatory compliance according to country specific requirements.

? May represent the company in industry associations.

? Supporting in new Product Certifications.

? Testing of Products as per Product Standards & SIEMENS standards.

? Maintenance of Product Certifications.

? Liaison with external test Labs for getting offers, test schedules and getting work done in given time.

? Liaison with Certifying agencies to get factory inspections completed in time and keep continuity in certificates.

? Maintain records of every factory inspection and drive & get completed action points out of these inspections.

? Shall be able to handle international certifications like CCC, VDE, UL, DNV, LR, ESC, EAC, INMETRO, S Mark etc.

? Shall have knowledge of product standards IS/IEC60898. IS 12640 pt.1 & pt.2, IS/IEC60947, IS/IEC 60269 etc.

? Handling internal lab related topics like scheduling tests, manpower as per test requests, investment planning for lab, upgradation of infrastructure etc.

? Carry out and maintain records for certified products as per requirements of certifying agencies. E.g. Scheme of Inspection & Testing (SIT) of BIS.

? Carry out supplier visits as necessary.
