We are seeking a Purchase to Pay Analyst to join our Purchase to Pay team. The ideal candidate will be supporting with the transformation of our accounting operations by leveraging digital tools and technologies to optimize accounting processes, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software and digital tools.

This role will be based in Alfragide, with hybrid working available. There will be frequent travel required within the Portugal to UK.

Your mission will be…

  • Support digitalization strategies to streamline accounting processes, reduce manual tasks, and increase productivity;

  • Evaluate and support on the selection of the accounting software and digital tools to support financial operations, ensuring compatibility with existing systems and workflows;

  • Support Implementation and integration of digital accounting systems, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations;

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of digital accounting systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements as needed;

  • Provide training and support to finance team members on the use of digital tools and software applications, promoting adoption and proficiency;

  • Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in digital accounting and financial technology, proactively recommending new solutions and approaches to enhance efficiency and effectiveness;

  • Liaises with Accounts Payable offshore service provider management to address process issues if and when they arise;

  • Provides support to address Accounts Payable queries from offshore service provider (Bangalore) and/or UK customer;

  • Acts as an escalation point and expert resource for Accounts Payable queries and issues raised by UK & Ireland customers, provides expert guidance for SAP and OneSRM topics;

  • Spiridon key user raising IT issues, logging table updates and user access requests with appropriate team/method.

We are looking for someone with…

  • Fluent in English, written and spoken (mandatory); any other European language will be a plus;

  • Working experience/knowledge of Supply Chain Management/Purchasing process as a plus;

  • Strong understanding of relevant ERP system e.g., SAP;

  • Strong proficiency Digital tools (e.g., robotic process automation, data analytics, Power BI, Mendix, Redwood);

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and standards;

  • Analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify insights to drive decision-making;

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with a commitment to accuracy and precision;

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams;

  • Ability to influence customers utilizing data and experience as required for his/her work;

  • Continuous learning attitude;

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills;

  • Problem solving and implementing optimal solution;

  • Willingness to travel.
