Job Description:

The IoT Services is a new Consulting and Solutioning division, which is a part of Siemens group, to offer customers an vendor agnostic end-to-end solution for their digital transformation. The unit combines more than 20 years of consulting experience, proprietary methodologies, technical talent, comprehensive domain know-how and large-system implementation experience. Position Overview

Siemens IoT Solution Group is looking for a seasoned consultant in industrial IoT with strong hands on experience in Discrete and Continuous Mfg and APM areas within industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, Semiconductors, Chemicals, Oil/Gas, Mining, Food & Bev etc

Looking for industry expert who has worked and/or consulted in one or multiple areas such as

  • Process Mfg Areas: Asset Performance Mgmt, Enterprise Asset Mgmt, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Process Automation, Asset Life Cycle Mgmt, Continuous Quality etc.

  • Discrerte Mfg Areas: Mfg Operations, Factory Automation, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics etc.

The ideal candidate should understand the landscape of major tools, applications and solutions used by major process manufactures such as APM, ALIM, Data Historians, EAM, ERP, Field Services etc or discrete manufacturers such as ERP, MES, QMS, IoT Platforms, Edge Connectivity, AI on the Edge

Should be forward looking able to provide guidance and expertise in the innovative IIoT and Industry 4.0 trends for the process industries


  • Working for IoT Solution Partner/Principals this role will be responsible for creating the industrial solution offering, business architecture, shaping/delivering the client projects

  • Proactively analyze industry vertical needs, market, competitive data to derive actionable insights to be able to offer strategic solutions based offering to customers

  • Will be responsible for creating industry centric solution architype, business cases, business centric KPIs, business solution architecture, etc

  • Be the industry leader and an essential contributing member of the project team, responsible for defining the approach/solution that can solve client issues. Be the guide on the best suited process changes and applications to clients current environment based on industry trends and Digital IoT and Industrial expertise

  • Understanding of business reporting, KPI and analytics transformed by Industrial IoT, Digital, Data Analytics such as Condition Based Monitoring, OEE optimzation

  • Overseeing project delivery of technology teams and supporting IoT and Digital project at clients

  • Leverage and align with other departments within IoT Services, partners, global teams to deliver high quality winning IoT Services offering to Customers.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education

Alongside a passion for personal growth, career development and an appetite to learn:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and boardroom polish, able to guide our clients through their transformation journey.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Top Tier Consulting firm or 8 years of Industry experience focusing on Mfg operations, Supply Chain, IoT Platforms, Enterprise Architecture, APM, ALIM, EAM, RCM, Factory Automation Process Automation is required

  • Experience with major IoT Platforms, MES Systems, Historians, ERP systems, EAM, APM software suites is required

  • Customer facing solution design and delivery experience

  • Oversight and governance experience leading strategic projects from ideation to delivery.

  • Ability to combine Business with IT / IOT experience to offer IT related solutions.

  • Experienced in an Agile environment with global offshore teams

  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM etc.)

  • Ability to travel to client sites 60-80% of the time

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and boardroom polish, able to guide our clients through their transformation journey.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or Sciences is preferred

  • MBA or management degree is preferred
