Siemens Real Estate (SRE) has an opening for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Professional to support building infrastructure in North America.

The EHS Professional is responsible for managing environmental, health and safety culture and compliance (OSHA, EPA) across small and medium SRE project sites in the US. This role will work closely with local SRE Project Management Teams, 3rd party Facility Management and Construction Teams and the SRE US EHS Officer to lead the development, implementation, and coordination of standardized EHS programs and policies to drive sustained Zero Harm EHS performance. The EHS Professional will serve as a strategic resource to all SRE US project locations, provide tools and support to local project management teams to achieve Siemens’ EHS goals and objectives.

As an EHS Professional in Project Management you will:

  • Participate in cross functional teams to achieve Siemens goals and objectives.

  • Work closely with SRE Project Management, Facility Management and Construction teams regarding EHS performance and pertinent regulatory changes that may impact the business.

  • Control and supervise the contractor's performance around health and safety at construction sites.

  • Lead EHS risk evaluations for each project and driving actions required.

  • Manage construction-related environmental subjects such as waste and recycling, hazardous materials.

  • Conduct construction site inspections including identification of EHS issues and driving actions to resolve.

  • Conduct EHS incident investigations, including incident tracking, incident trending/analysis and recordkeeping requirements.

  • Collect, maintain, and report EHS and Safety data and KPI’s as required.

  • Maintain updated knowledge EHS regulations including but not limited to OSHA, NFPA 70E, ANSI, EPA, etc.

  • Perform other EHS, security/cybersecurity tasks as assigned.

  • Work closely with sustainability, security, and cybersecurity teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree, where required or equivalent combination of education experience.

  • 5+ years EHS experience in a construction environment leading others and influencing without authority.

  • 3+ years experience with the following:

  • Problem solving skills in a cross-functional environment.

  • Strong collaboration skills and role model qualities.

  • Working knowledge of EPA regulations as well as OSHA regulations.

  • Professional verbal and written skills.

  • Self-directed work and the ability to work with limited supervision.

  • Proficient in use of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

  • Travel up to 20% when necessary to support locations.

  • Ability to climb ladders and carry up to 30 lbs.

  • In emergencies, willingness to work outside office hours.

  • Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ASP, CSP

  • Asbestos and Mold management

  • Bilingual English/Spanish

  • Property Security skills

  • Property related Sustainability skills

  • Experience with Cybersecurity

  • The pay range for this position is $64,700 - $110,800 and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
